After 20 years of great work, the economic development department at City of London Corporation set me the challenge of creating an engaging round-up report booklet for their employee volunteering brokerage service ‘City Action’. This 21-pager I paced with pull-out quotes and stats, provided and sourced imagery and visually-engaging layout and presentation, all within the City Action brand guidelines. This required attention to detail and careful amending with the client to ensure a good fit for all elements. After it was distributed, it was received with lots of positive feedback.
Shown after this is a project where I developed a Responsible City e-newsletter for various device sizes using MailChimp so that the client could utilise it as a template on future mailshots. I designed a bright and colourful spanning header using illustration within the ‘City’ type, with the City of London crest logo alongside.
In autumn 2017, I also laid out the annual Dragon Awards booklet of 48 pages, attended by City business and the Lord Mayor. Utilising previous template files created by a third party, I refined it for efficiency and adapted it to 2017 with attention to detail and an overview on the schedule and plan for the whole booklet, ensuring all the artwork was supplied thoroughly and correctly for print purposes.
