The Little Leather Factory set me a creative challenge to rebrand their company to bring their identity in line with their brand values. Designed to attract designers and small boutiques to produce goods with them and their high quality artisan craftspeople who care as much about the product as their customers do. The new logo identity needed to impart some qualities of traditional craftsmanship, quality, caring, handmade leather. To achieve this I used a roundel mark with simple stitched edges, a cursive type for the caring personable touch and to emphasise ‘Leather’ the most. I developed the brand with a colour palette inspired by their products made of classy and sophisticated materials using muted hues with dark grey and white. I also created a logo-use guide and developed the typography to work with these on print and to reference when they were developing their company website.
